A local Brewing Company/Brew Pub contacted me to brand their company as well as each individual beer. This is a sketch I did for one of the beers we are considering calling “Clipper Stout”. Although a simple concept, I was inspired by the landscape in and around Seattle, I love all the sea planes that you see on any given hour flying around or landing out here.

Welcome to the new, updated V 2.0 of the site! For the most part the site looks and acts the same as before, but with a little spring cleaning and re-organizing of the work. To separate the design work from the illustration there are now two subsections to the portfolio. We’ve also changed to a more reliable and faster server, so check it out and as always keep coming back for updates!

The Stranger Illustration - Mike McGinn(#2)

The Stranger hired me again to do a portrait of Mayor Mike McGinn but only partly finished as Seattle has yet to find out exactly where he stands on the arts. I went back and forth on whether or not to put the brush and pencil in there but I think it helped nail down the concept of the article as if it was still in process on an artist’s table. This is the second time they’ve had me do a portrait of McGinn, I think this one came out a bit better, at least in terms of likeness. Check out the article here »

With restaurant and food topics centered around the pacific northwest, I’ve chosen Portland’s Voodoo Doughnut to highlight first. Check out the blog here».
